I was at the Driven to America event this morning out on Long Island (NY). Lot’s of cool stuff to see...all the old kids hanging out by the pool.

I didn’t bring my DSLR, but got some pics w/the potato and my Sony.

Lots of Carrera 2.7 RS, though I couldn’t tell if all were authentic. They looked it.

Pretty cool grounds at the Hoffman Center.

Attempt at symmetry. Failed!

Somehow I got to park on the front lawn, right up against the Martini racing RV. The 918's were on the other side of it. My car was thrilled.

Mmmmmmm Martini.....

There was a Singer there. The rumours of outstanding attention to detail are true.

Everything from 912 to 993 was represented.

They snuck a 959 into the air-cooled section. No one seemed to mind.

Since the event was to honor Max Hoffman, they brought in some MB goodies. The gullwing was actually a dark, dark blue. It was.....awesome.

Two 918 spyders were relegated to the front of the house. Too techy for the backyard displays. Not sure how the McLaren snuck in....

Yes it is. I don’t have any other pics of it...was with the GF (and without my Nikon) so I didn’t take too many pics.

I was actually thinking of going, but the $20 entry fee and a recent visit to the Porsche Museum made me decide otherwise... it does seem like there were some pretty nice cars there though!
